Hey there ladybugs!!!!
I know that I have said time and time again, that each of us was created for a specific purpose and our purpose is unique to us. However, as I have been pondering on this foregone conclusion, a light bulb came on. What I realized is this -- As we were each created with our own individual purpose there is one purpose that we all have in common. That purpose is to praise God. Our Heavenly Father created each of us to praise Him. He was so serious about wanting us to get our praise on, it is in the Bible over 250 times. Many people mistakenly think that praise merely means singing or saying "Praise the Lord" or singing or saying "Hallelujah", but that is not it at all.
We are to praise God in everything we think do and say! Yep, that's right! 1 Corinthians 10:31 reads: So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. So, there you have it --- we are to praise God in all things. Everything we do should make our Lord in Heaven smile. Now, you may be thinking that it is an impossible task and you are right. God created us and He knows EVERYTHING about us. He knows our strengths and weaknesses, our triumphs as well as our failures and our good behaviors as well as our bad habits. He knows us better than we know ourselves and one thing He knows for sure is, "we ain't perfect"! Nevertheless, with all of our shortcomings and frequent set-backs He still expects us to always be striving to please Him. Simply put, no matter how we mess up we are to repent, do better and praise God in the midst of it all.
Another revelation that came to me is this ---- If God created us for the purpose of praising Him, along with our other life purposes, than that means whatever our purpose is should bring glory to God. So, that should take you one step closer to finding your true purpose. Figure out what it is that you do to bring the most glory to God. The things that you feel bring the most joy to our Lord. The things that make you feel as if the Heavens are smiling upon you every time you do them. Once you have those things narrowed down you will be one step closer to living in your true purpose. If you are still having trouble pin-pointing what those talents and gifts might be, here is a tip: Anything that causes you great anguish, stress, uneasiness or grief, is probably not your purpose. We were never promised a easy life, but that is mostly because of things we bring on ourselves. However, anything that He put in your life for you to do will not be chaotic.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
So, as you continue your journey towards finding your purpose just remember these two things; praise Him all along the way and anything that doesn't bring God joy should not bring you joy!
Until next time we meet!
