Hey there ladybugs!!!!
I know that I have said time and time again, that each of us was created for a specific purpose and our purpose is unique to us. However, as I have been pondering on this foregone conclusion, a light bulb came on. What I realized is this -- As we were each created with our own individual purpose there is one purpose that we all have in common. That purpose is to praise God. Our Heavenly Father created each of us to praise Him. He was so serious about wanting us to get our praise on, it is in the Bible over 250 times. Many people mistakenly think that praise merely means singing or saying "Praise the Lord" or singing or saying "Hallelujah", but that is not it at all.
We are to praise God in everything we think do and say! Yep, that's right! 1 Corinthians 10:31 reads: So, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. So, there you have it --- we are to praise God in all things. Everything we do should make our Lord in Heaven smile. Now, you may be thinking that it is an impossible task and you are right. God created us and He knows EVERYTHING about us. He knows our strengths and weaknesses, our triumphs as well as our failures and our good behaviors as well as our bad habits. He knows us better than we know ourselves and one thing He knows for sure is, "we ain't perfect"! Nevertheless, with all of our shortcomings and frequent set-backs He still expects us to always be striving to please Him. Simply put, no matter how we mess up we are to repent, do better and praise God in the midst of it all.
Another revelation that came to me is this ---- If God created us for the purpose of praising Him, along with our other life purposes, than that means whatever our purpose is should bring glory to God. So, that should take you one step closer to finding your true purpose. Figure out what it is that you do to bring the most glory to God. The things that you feel bring the most joy to our Lord. The things that make you feel as if the Heavens are smiling upon you every time you do them. Once you have those things narrowed down you will be one step closer to living in your true purpose. If you are still having trouble pin-pointing what those talents and gifts might be, here is a tip: Anything that causes you great anguish, stress, uneasiness or grief, is probably not your purpose. We were never promised a easy life, but that is mostly because of things we bring on ourselves. However, anything that He put in your life for you to do will not be chaotic.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
So, as you continue your journey towards finding your purpose just remember these two things; praise Him all along the way and anything that doesn't bring God joy should not bring you joy!
Until next time we meet!
Hello there ladybugs!!! I just wanted to share a few words with you lovelies about the power you hold when you live and love in your true purpose. Living life without truly embracing your purpose can be frustrating, confusing, irritating and quite frankly maddening. However, once you realize, embrace and embark upon your true purpose you will find that, almost instantaneously, a certain peace, tranquility and assuredness will fall upon you. And it is not because living in your purpose makes life easy, or keeps you from going through the storms of life --- it's because living in your purpose brings you closer to God and through Him you will find the strength to deal with the tough times a whole lot better than you once did. And that my friends is POWER!!! The power of peace of mind, the power of contentment, the power of self-love, the power of courage, the power of self-awareness --- THE POWER OF CHRIST!!!
Living in your purpose also gives you the power to to aid others in doing the same. Once you have fully embraced your purpose you will have the tools to assist and encourage others to join you in this freeing process. You will be able to share your journey with others and help them find the courage to begin their own. Now, don't take this to mean that you are to recruit folks to do exactly what you are doing, or you should walk up to random ladies and tell them that they aren't living the life God has created them to live. It simply means that if you are approached or see someone struggling --- you will have a story and a testimony to share that will more than likely give them the insight and support they need. It simply means that you will have a new desire to cheer other women on and uplift your fellow-sister. It simply means that you will be more comfortable in your own skin and you will have a new found empathy for anyone whom isn't living in the same comfort and confidence that you have found. There is joy in a purpose filled life and joy is contagious, so you won't be able to help but to spread it!!!
Until next time we meet!
Hey there ladybugs!!! Let's talk about PURPOSE!! Well, first let's define PURPOSE. The dictionary is always a good place to start when you are looking for a definition. What I've found is that when it comes to matters of life and the heart, that's is exactly what the dictionary gives you --- just a start. I know many of you probably think that I am crazy for even mentioning the dictionary, you are probably thinking; we all know what purpose means. Well, I am sure you do and I did too or at least I thought I did. There is just something about seeing words written and reading a formal definition that sometimes helps put a brand new perspective on things. Helps to open our eyes, so to speak -- see things a little differently than we once did. The fact is we become so familiar with certain words and terms that we kind of put our own spin on them and the meanings often times become convoluted. So, let's give it a try ---
The reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists.
"The purpose of the meeting is to appoint a trustee."
Have as one's intention or objective.
"God has allowed suffering, even purposed it."
So, what do you think after reading the definition? Does the word PURPOSE mean anything different to you now than it did just a few short moments ago? Do you feel even more compelled to find and live in your PURPOSE now after reading the definition? I know I did. Both the Noun and the Verb usages are intense directives, in my opinion.
It is imperative for us to know that God doesn't make any mistakes and He doesn't waste any time. Every creation, every decision, every action has a reason behind it. Therefore, if He didn't have something in particular for us to do ---- WE WOULDN'T BE HERE!! Knowing and realizing that, is half the battle. Because once you realize that you are here on this earth on assignment from God, your full focus should be on recognizing and executing the task at hand --- worrying not about what people think or expect. The only one who matters is the One who created your life and gave you your PURPOSE!
Keep in mind that PURPOSE doesn't mean huge. PURPOSE doesn't mean popular. PURPOSE doesn't mean easy. It doesn't mean complicated. It doesn't mean exciting. And it certainly doesn't mean rich and famous!! It just means you have a job to do.
Often times we get caught up in the wrong things, believing that unless we are reaching the masses, making tons of money and living a grand life, we don't have true PURPOSE. That is such a lie that we tell ourselves. The truth of the matter is, that if you are able to reach just one person with the love of Jesus --- you've done a lot. If you are willing to do your best, on whatever platform you have, to make this world a better place --- you've contributed greatly. If you have the means to live a modest and humble life and have had the resources to lend a helping hand to someone else who was down on their luck, even if with just a kind word or a sandwich --- you have given much!!!
Your PURPOSE doesn't have to be HUGE in quantity, it's the quality that counts. So, start looking at the quality of the gifts you bring to this world and that is where you will find your PURPOSE!!!
Until next time we meet!
Hey there ladybugs!!!! Before I begin truly "Blogging", I just wanted to take a few moments to introduce myself, explain my passion and let you wonderful ladies know what you can expect from me and this site.
First of all, I am a child of God and that will always be who I am no matter what else in my life may change over time. Secondly, I am a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a First Lady, a mentor and many other things to many people. I'm not much different than most of you, I am sure. We all wear tons of hats and sometimes the woman God created us to be and the "purpose" we were created for gets lost under all of those hats. Sound familiar? I bet it does.
A few years ago, I felt I had hit a brick wall, feeling as if my entire life was passing me by and I still hadn't accomplished much of anything. (At least not anything that I felt truly fulfilled my "purpose".) Of course I had done some things in life that would be considered accomplishments, but I knew I had more to give. I knew there was more to do. I knew I wasn't finished yet . I mean, I knew that God had something more in store for me, but it was up to me to use my faith, my discernment and my love for the Lord and His people to figure it out. So, I went on a search. I figured that there was no way that I was the only one who had ever come to this crossroads in life. I assumed that there were probably groups of women meeting up on a regular basis, talking about this very subject and helping each other figure it out.
Well, my search came up short. I found the women, I found the groups, but I didn't find any answers. These women seemed to be just as confused as I was. Everyone searching, longing, needing and feeling unfilled. Some were considering going back to school, others opening their own business, and others thought maybe a career change is what they were looking for. Well, I knew that none of these things were going to do it for me. I wasn't quite sure yet, what my true "purpose" was, but what I did know for sure, was there was no degree, no business or career move that would be able to give me the feeling of completion that I was looking for. And what I also knew for sure, was many of those women weren't going to be satisfied with those things. either. Needless to say, it was in that very moment that I finally realized my true "purpose" and that was to support, coach and encourage women to FIND, EMBRACE, CHERISH AND LIVE in the "purpose" God created her for. So, that is exactly what you guys can expect from me from this day forward.
Sometimes the journey is tough. Sometimes the journey is confusing. Sometimes the journey is frustrating. Always the journey is WORTH IT!!! And I am here to take the steps with you!!!
Thank you all for helping me fulfill my "PURPOSE", by helping you realize yours! The road begins here!
Until next time we meet!
